Please read these terms before using the SafarSang app, website, or related services.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using SafarSang, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Critical safety disclaimer

SafarSang is software for personal journey monitoring and coordination. It is not a licensed security provider, emergency dispatch agency, police service, or substitute for emergency services. It does not guarantee prevention, rescue, response, or safety.

In an immediate emergency in India, call 112 or the appropriate local emergency service.

2. Description of service

SafarSang supports user-started active journeys with route progress and deviation signals, unexpected-stop signals, check-ins, offline event queuing and later synchronization, safe-arrival status, and app-based Trusted Circle notifications. Features may change during beta.

3. Accounts and security

You agree to provide accurate information, keep access to your sign-in provider secure, maintain current account details, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by law.

4. Device, permission, network, and accuracy limits

Journey features require compatible hardware, adequate battery, location services, foreground and background location permission, notifications for alert recipients, and network access for timely synchronization and delivery.

GPS obstruction, tunnels, dense buildings, device power settings, operating-system restrictions, a switched-off device, network outages, mapping errors, or third-party service failures can delay, distort, or prevent location updates, detection, synchronization, and notifications. Offline queueing does not make remote alerts instantaneous while disconnected.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Track, stalk, harass, or monitor another person without their explicit knowledge and consent.
  • Create false or malicious alerts, impersonate another person, or misuse circle invitations.
  • Interfere with, overload, circumvent, reverse-engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use SafarSang in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.

6. Trusted Circle responsibilities

Travellers must have permission to invite contacts. Circle members must install SafarSang, authenticate, enable notifications, and keep their device connected to receive app-based alerts. An alert may include a latest available location whose timestamp should be considered before acting. Circle members decide how to respond and should contact official emergency services when appropriate.

SafarSang does not promise that a Trusted Circle member will see or respond to an alert.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or timely delivery.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SafarSang and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data or profits, or harm arising from use or inability to use the Service, delayed or inaccurate monitoring, failed notifications, device or network limitations, or another person’s failure to respond. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, software, design, graphics, and SafarSang name and logo are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

10. Pausing and deleting your account

You can pause your account, which disables journey features and circle notifications while data remains stored. You can schedule permanent deletion after finishing or cancelling any active journey. The account locks and enters a 30-day recovery period. Sign in before the displayed deadline to cancel. After permanent deletion, the account, relationships, journeys, alerts, devices, and sign-in identity cannot be recovered. See deletion instructions.

11. Suspension, changes, and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict accounts that breach these Terms, create risk, or misuse the Service. Where practical, material changes will be communicated through the app or website.
